Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Timedog ("the App"), provided by viteflowsystem (Representative: Akifumi Akazawa, "Developer"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Definitions

  1. "The App" refers to the macOS time tracking application "Timedog".
  2. "User" refers to any individual who uses the App.
  3. "Developer" refers to viteflowsystem (Representative: Akifumi Akazawa), the developer and provider of the App.

3. Service Description

The App provides the following features:

  • One-click clock in/out from the menu bar
  • Automatic saving of time tracking data to Google Sheets
  • Monthly view with work hours display and aggregation
  • Editing of time tracking records
  • Multiple session recording

4. Requirements

  1. The App requires a computer running macOS.
  2. Google Sheets integration requires a valid Google account.
  3. The App is provided free of charge.

5. Google Account Integration

  1. The App uses Google OAuth 2.0 for user authentication.
  2. You agree to grant the App read and write permissions to Google Sheets.
  3. Authentication tokens are securely stored in the macOS Keychain on your device.
  4. You may revoke the App's access at any time from your Google Account permissions.

6. Prohibited Activities

You shall not engage in the following activities when using the App:

  1. Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the App (except as permitted by the applicable open source license)
  2. Unauthorized access or actions that violate Google API terms of service
  3. Misusing the App's features to create fraudulent time records
  4. Any other activities that violate applicable laws or public order

7. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

  1. The App is provided "AS IS". The Developer makes no warranties that the App will function without interruption or error.
  2. Except in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence by the Developer, the Developer shall not be liable for damages arising from:
    • Loss or corruption of time tracking data
    • Issues related to Google Sheets data
    • Issues caused by changes or discontinuation of Google APIs
    • Compatibility issues caused by macOS updates
    • Any other direct or indirect damages related to the use of the App
  3. Notwithstanding the foregoing, if the Developer is found liable, as the App is provided free of charge, the Developer's liability shall be limited to direct and ordinary damages actually incurred by the User.
  4. Users are recommended to regularly back up important time tracking data.

8. Intellectual Property

The App is provided as open source software and is subject to the terms of the applicable open source license. Please refer to the license file in the GitHub repository for details.

9. Service Modifications and Termination

  1. The Developer may modify, add, or remove features of the App without prior notice to Users.
  2. The Developer may terminate the provision of the App without prior notice to Users.
  3. Except in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence by the Developer, the Developer shall not be liable for damages arising from such modifications or termination.

10. Changes to These Terms

  1. The Developer may modify these Terms when:
    • The modification is in the general interest of Users
    • The modification is reasonable in light of the purpose of using the App, the necessity of the change, and the appropriateness of the modified content
  2. When modifying these Terms, the Developer will announce the modified content and effective date on this page with reasonable advance notice.

11. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by law, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

  1. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
  2. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
